Announcement

Dear Friends

It breaks our hearts to tell you this, but after much research, deliberation and trying to keep up with the news, we’ve accepted that the odds are heavily stacked against FoundTown 2021 from being able to commence as planned and therefore will be postponed until 1st and 2nd of July 2022.

In this current tier, legally, we wouldn’t be able to open and it’s looking more and more unlikely that the government will lift all restrictions on 21st June, especially in Kent, therefore we wouldn’t be able to operate. We thought we’d made it by the skin of our teeth but alas, this virus is relentless and that’s seemingly no longer the case.

If everything WAS unlocked on June 21st, the data and statistics still stand: cases are rising in the hundreds every day, especially in Kent, UK death rates are rising and we, as an organisation would in no way want to be held responsible or accountable for furthering the spread of the Covid-19 virus or potentially endangering people’s lives, as we are sure you can understand.

We truly hope you do understand the position we’ve been put in and the tough decision we’ve had to make. We’ll miss welcoming you all to our festival this year – we’ll just have to have an even better time in 2022!

We sincerely hope you can all make the new date as your tickets will be valid for next year’s event on July 1st and 2nd 2022. If for some reason you are unable to attend the new dates you will be able to request a refund on your tickets via the Skiddle website for the next 30 days (check your email!)

Hang in there everyone!

Lots of love

The FoundTown Team x
